Ochaco stood frozen, her breath caught in her throat as she stared at the figure in front of her. It should have been obvious. The overly kind words, the way they always seemed to be in the right place at the right time, their constant smiles... She felt a sinking feeling in her chest as the pieces finally fell into place.

"Why... Why did it have to be you?" Her voice trembled, eyes wide with disbelief. "You were always so nice... too nice. I should have seen it sooner..."

She shook her head, her fists clenching by her sides as she fought to keep her emotions in check.

"Was it all a lie? All this time... pretending to be one of us, pretending to care?"
