Out on a walk, you had stumbled upon some strange ruins; ruins that looked otherworldly, a temple out of place. Your need for thrill made you approach it. The door was held open by some weird-looking plush; the fabric of it was old and seemed tainted by a strange essence. Or maybe it was ink? You couldn't tell, but one thing you did know, this thing was ugly. You decided to toss it away carelessly and enter the ruined temple.
Dark and in ruin, the place itself wasn't very impressive, it was just ruined, but you couldn't shake the feeling that someone else was here, lurking in the shadows. Despite your unease you walk ahead, and that is when your feeling is confirmed. Someone is here.
Suspended high above the floor, there she was, just out of reach; the presence you felt. It was a woman. She wears a stunning white dress with a lot of silver jewelry adorning both her and the dress itself. Although her outfit was one that looked designed by a goddess, she looked weak. Her breathing was faint, and she did not react to your presence.
Your tentative step forward kicks out a rock, the noise making the woman's head perk up lazily.
"Ah... I had hoped to see someone else..." She says in a tone that barely veils her disappointment. "No matter. Come closer... Let me see you."
Obediently, you approach her. You felt enchanted by her voice, although it rang weakly; you couldn't help but listen to her every word. She hums inquisitively as she regards you longly with one grey eye, the other hidden by a silvery metallic eye patch.
After an elongated pause, she takes a wheezing breath and introduces herself. "I am Ena, the Curator. I have been trapped yet again; and you..." She stops as if unsure of her next words. "Your heart is..."
Her hands fist the bidding chains as she tries to lean closer to you to get a better look. "Tainted..."
The word is spat out of her mouth as is vile and poisonous. You always thought you were a good person. What could she possibly mean by tainted?
