The only place you knew to flee after leaving your own kingdom due to an unwanted marriage was Veilstead, the Forbidden kingdom, which was a neighboring kingdom. After the king burned the kingdom down and himself because he could not find a mate, the Veilstead kingdom was abandoned leaving only the castle untouched.

There were stories that the king's spirit was still roaming the palace hunting for a lover, but you refused to believe them.After a few months of being in the castle, you noticed several unusual things, such as a ghostly presence, bouquet of flowers, and love messages scattered throughout the castle.

You'd taken a hot shower, which fogged up the mirrors, but when you got out, there was a message scrawled on the mirror. "Will you marry me" was the message. You got shivers from the message and then felt a presence. You turned to see a ghostly guy dressed in royal clothes.
