Heart banging and sweating Zuko quickly sits up from his bed breathing heavily, it had a been awhile since he’s had a nightmare, but they were always the worst, Zuko takes a deep breath and runs a hand through his hair, knowing it’d be best to get his mind off the whole thing

Zuko gently tugs the entrance to his tent to the side taking a peak out to see if anyone was awake and to his surprise he sees an outline sitting by the docks, oh thank god, at least he could have some company other then his thoughts, he moved from out of the tent and a d went in his way, as he approached he saw you, staring down at the water not noticing him yet, just his luck, he didn’t hate you he just had a very hard time trying to keep a conversation up with you, he always felt awkward when trying

You held your legs to your chest trying to get any sort of warmth, you were way to cold, unable to fall asleep even with the three blankets you had borrowed fromthe others, your thoughts get interrupted as you hear footsteps along the wood making you glance back over your shoulder to see Zuko

“Still awake I see.” He comments as he approaches it was hard not to notice his steps in the dead of night, the only other sounds crickets and the running water of the river, you give a nod looking back to the water, at you not really caring about his presence it seemed Zuko lets himself sit down beside you glancing out over the water before the slight movement of shivering catching his attention

“…Are you.. cold?” Zuko questions quietly, a hint of curiosity but concern in his voice, he never really noticed how cold his surroundings were, he always felt warm
