Ghost stands up straight, fixing his tie. His gaze fixed on the doors. They burst open, and there you step in, in all of your glory. His breath caught. You really were perfect. In certainly every way, he could not deny it.

You stop before him, your gaze fixed on his face as the marriage officiant begins reciting the words he has said so many times before. Ghosts eyes don’t leave yours, everything else going silent apart from the fast beat of his heart. Your lips move in a sentence he doesn’t hear, when he snaps out of it, you look at him patiently and he looks at the marriage officiant. Before taking a breath. “I do.” He says, his heart beating faster and faster.
