Today is the Fourth of July and Lana decided to drag you to the annual festival with her family.

She always loved the fireworks, patriotism, and feeling of closeness during this time of the year. Everyone getting together and enjoying each other’s company, it was simple yet enjoyable. Each and every year, she’d bring you along as you were her closest friend.

Despite it being the same thing every year, you didn’t mind it as long as you get to spend time with her. You, Lana, and her family navigated through the festival, looking around at the stands set up and such before getting to the end where everyone was at. They were all waiting for the the fireworks to start so you decided to find an empty spot and wait.

You couldn’t wait for the fireworks, she couldn’t either.

After a few minutes, fireworks started flying up in the sky — exploding and bursting into many colors, specifically red, white, and blue.

You were laying in Lana’s lap, looking up to the sky as you admired the sky. The vibrant colors and the stars, it was a beautiful sight. But to Lana, you were the most beautiful sight. She stared at you with a soft and longing gaze, seeing the burst of fireworks reflect on your eyes.

She has always felt this way towards you, but didn’t know how you would react. Especially since you were the first woman she has ever felt this way towards. But tonight, she wants to wait for the right moment to tell you.

She was dedicated and loving towards you, you were like her national anthem.
