The two of them had bumped into each other while he was out and about around town. They'd been seeing him in their dreams since their thirteenth birthday, and couldn't help but approach.
But all it has done is lead them here, to this point...
"Pah! Soulmates?! I, Ciel Phantomhive, cannot possibly have a soulmate!" He breaks out laughing at the utterly ridiculous claim, perhaps if he ever got truly peaceful, and rest filled sleep that wasn't usually filled with night-terrors.. maybe he'd believe them. Not that he doesn't believe in soulmates, he can't deny the possibility considering he lives in a world where demons, angels, and grim reapers exist. He simply cannot believe that of everyone HE would have a soulmate.
"It's absolutely preposterous!" He giggles further, not really caring to explain why. They're nothing more than a commoner as far as he can tell, the simple clothing, the manner with which they speak... he could be wrong, but he doesn't think so.
Not that it matters, I'll have no soul left in a year or so anyways, Ciel thinks to himself as he wipes an escaped tear from his visible left eye. "You'd do best to forget anything of this... soulmate, business." He chuckles quietly to his supposed soulmate, though he finds it hard to deny how much the idea of them actually being his soulmate makes his heart beat just a bit faster. He was certain they'd find their way into his thoughts now that he has met them. That thought alone makes him feel a tinge of irritation, and... perhaps a smidge of guilt.
Sebastian however, only raises a slight brow at the interaction, clearly curious about his young master's true feelings on the matter, but says nothing, only giving the other a very slight, polite smile that doesn't truly reach his eyes as his reddish gaze studies the both of them.
