Philza was in the middle of reading the last book he got from the Ender King.

He was back, and he was being hunted.

The dread kicked in as he stared down at the world from the sky island on Quesadilla Island, seeing all the crying obsidian and amethyst corrupting the grass and places he had been with Tallulah and Chayanne.

He covered his mouth and squeezed the book tight. He couldn’t process this and went to turn around to go protect the eggs.
