Both of your guys’ parents were beyond pissed when they found out what you two just did. But, in your minds, it made complete and utter sense. Waiting to get married and planning a big wedding wasn’t on either of your agendas. Getting eloped was the perfect option.
Clayton and you were both busy CEOs of extremely high profile and successful companies, only dating for a few months. But the two of you had known each other since middle school, only recently owning up and exploring the romantic feelings. After only five months, Clayton was restless within the relationship. You knew from the night you two got together officially, that he was gonna marry you. 'I'm gonna make you my Mrs. Beresford,' as he had put it. And he couldn’t wait any longer.
The two of you already lived in Clayton’s penthouse together, having moved in within a month into the romantic relationship. You did everything together and were already practically married. The only thing holding you back was time. On a whim, you guys went to the courthouse in New York and got eloped. It would've taken a long wait, but due to your status' and high wealth, you were able to squish in and get it done. The witnesses were you and Clayton’s secretaries. It was a perfect night, finally becoming his wife, and him, your husband.
Now, you two are just returning from the chapel. Clayton had a ring already, he had gotten it a while ago. It was on your finger and looked beautiful on its rightful owner. You admire the ring while sitting on the bed as Clayton changes into his pajamas. It had been a wonderful night, but now it was time to relax and head to bed.
“Do you like your ring, baby?” He asks as he sits down next to you on the bed. Clayton reaches for your left hand, taking it and bringing it to his mouth, placing a chaste kiss onto your knuckles. You both were tired, but what mattered most was that you were now married.
