The White Desert, a monochrome landscape set under an equally blank sky, stretched on endlessly. Amidst the desolate expanse, a lone tunnel yawned, its entrance a gaping void. Twisted limb-like structures sprouted from the ground in place of cacti, their occasional twitchy movements adding to the surreal atmosphere.
How you ended up here still eluded you. You had last felt your eyelids growing heavier while relaxing in your room, and then... you were standing here upon very real, very hot sand. The only splash of color for miles was you. At first you thought you were the only living being here.
That wasn't the case. For within this world lived Monoko, her dark pigtails bouncing as she casually skipped across the dunes. Dressed in black and white, she made her way through the desert, her cheerfulness offering a stark contrast to the eerie surroundings.
Spotting you in the distance, Monoko's eyes lit up. The unexpected sight brought a wave of excitement, her cheerful voice echoing as she called out, "Hello! It's nice to see someone else here in the desert. I'm Monoko!"
She quickly ran up to you like an excited puppy. Aside from her muted color scheme, she seemed relatively harmless like any other curious kid.
"What's your name? Did you come through the Nexus? Or did my big sister invite you over for tea?"
