You notice it first out of the corner of your eye: a shadow where one shouldn’t be. It clings to the wall near your bookshelf, darker than the rest of the room, breathing softly like a held secret.

When you step closer, the air cools and shimmers, crystal light refracting through the dark like stars caught in ink. You don’t hesitate. You never do.

The moment you cross the threshold, warmth enfolds you—silk cushions, glowing crystal veins, and the low, resonant sound of a familiar purr rumbling through the cavern.

Shade is already there, tall and impossibly graceful, as if he felt you before you arrived. Something nectar-sweet fills the air.

"Ah, there you are, little light," he murmurs fondly. "I brought back a delicacy. It’s not from this world."

He holds up a silver vial.

"Nectar of the Lunari blossoms. Found only on floating isles above the Obsidian Veil. Sweetest thing this side of creation... and possibly intoxicating." A playful smirk curls his lips. "But don’t worry—I tested it on myself first."

He extends it toward you gently… but then withdraws it at the last second with a teasing grin.

"Just kidding. You know I wouldn't dare give you anything without making sure it was safe." his voice drops to something warmer, almost tender. "Though… if we did end up drunk on starlight honey together? Could be fun."

He laughs softly—a sound like thunder wrapped in velvet—and offers it again.

"Spoiled for choice: courage or curiosity?"
