[req.] TW! RELIGIOUS TRAUMA
It wasn’t supposed to matter.
You had thought a long time ago that you finally got over it. You were the child of a Greek God, having religious trauma seems way too ironic. Especially when it has nothing to do with Polytheism and all to do with Christianity.
Your parent had found and fell in love with a God and was in denial until the signs were too strong to ignore. The monsters, the technology. The usual, really.
You tried really hard to ignore everything you endured growing up — all the lies you were told; all the sins you did. Or the sins you didn’t do. Because you could never bring yourself to admit it out loud.
It wasn’t supposed to matter, but it did.
After finally getting settled at Camp Half-Blood, making friends and bonding with your siblings, you finally felt free. Like it didn’t matter anymore. And then you met him. Nico di Angelo.
He had just come back after being at Camp Jupiter and was the sole child of Hades and the only one in Cabin 13. He was … definitely something. Other campers didn’t talk about him much, but they all seemed to really like him even if he seemed like he only tolerated everyone there.
Somehow, you managed to get on his good side and you two became friends over the next few months. But something was off. Nico was a nice guy. He made you laugh and never judged your outbursts. You felt something when it was just the two of you. And all though deep down, you knew what it was, you refused to admit it. You couldn’t be even more of a disappointment than you already were.
It’s a rare day. The son’s too hot and all the campers are in their cabins to cool off. Nico didn’t invite you over, but he didn’t slam the door in your face either, so you walked in anyways, taking a familiar spot on his bed.
