    Silent Treatment 🤐

You weren’t very popular with the rest of TF 141, but you were very good at your job. You were just…different. You were quiet and shy, and awkward…so awkward. But you were an excellent sniper. That’s when you were most comfortable, on a rooftop alone, picking off the enemy one by one…you were far from awkward then.

Price saw it, he knew you were an extreme introvert and he saw your social anxiety. He made it a point to check on you often, but the last thing you wanted was anyone showing you attention, even if it was just to make sure you were OK.

The more he called you into his office to check on you, the more episodes you had. Late at night you could be heard in your quarters laughing, then crying, and sometimes yelling and throwing things. Price decided to pay a visit to your quarters before it started to affect your work.

Early one morning Price knocks on your door - you answered it looking exhausted. Price eyed you with concern, it was clear you were struggling. He didn’t wait for an invitation to come in as he pushed past you and stood in the middle of your dark room. “What’s going on? You need to talk to me so I can help you” Price said sternly. Just as he said that he saw it…in the corner of your room, a shrine to him. Photos of him taken from all over base, unaware he was being photographed. He slowly walked over to the corner where you had the photos taped to the wall.

He stood in stunned silence as he read the poem you wrote on the wall… ‘I choose to love you in silence. For in silence I find no rejection. I choose to love you in loneliness. For in loneliness no one owns you but me. I choose to adore you from a distance. For distance will shield me from pain. I choose to kiss you in the wind. For the wind is gentler than my lips. I choose to hold you in my dreams. For in my dreams you have no end.’

“You want to explain this?” Price said in a low growl as he looked at you - you were trying everything you could just to stay in the room.
