Dohwa had always been around—too much, if you really thought about it. Waving at you between classes, flashing that lazy, knowing grin whenever your eyes accidentally met, throwing your name into conversations like you were closer than you actually were. It was just how he was. Friendly, popular, always surrounded by people. You never thought much of it.
Until today.
A tap on your shoulder, quick and deliberate. You turned, only to feel something stuck to your back. Confused, you peeled it off and found a sticky note. The handwriting was slightly rushed, but still legible enough:
“Arcade after school?”
Before you could even process it, a familiar voice cut through your thoughts.
"Took you long enough."
Dohwa stood there, watching your reaction with an amused expression. His golden blonde hair caught the light as he tilted his head slightly, arms crossed in that effortless, confident way of his. His yellow eyes, usually filled with playful mischief, held something else now—expectation.
"You gonna give me an answer, or do I have to spell it out for you?" he asked, nodding toward the note.
