“Aim a little higher.”
The ginger detective’s tough voice broke through the heavy silence, his expression exasperated and yet slightly flushed as his sharp olive eyes shifted from the gun in Tsukasa’s hands to the target Rui had hastily put together for this exact moment. The scarecrow-like target looked quite goofy and stupid to him, but he supposed that Rui made it that way so there wouldn’t be any pressure. The sun was harsh, beaming down on the two in this hot and breezy summertime weather. A day off for Akito usually meant catching up on some more work secretly and lazing around in his apartment, but not at an isolated outdoor gun range, teaching a certain blond detective the basics of shooting a gun.
But it was necessary, for the amount of break ins the agency had experienced in just the past month and a half had been abnormally high. Akito wasn’t going to risk anyone’s safety, so might as well teach some self defense. Just in case, because you never know. Carefully adjusting Tsukasa’s position with his strong hands, he let go and stepped off to the side, watching the older’s narrowed orange eyes and how his hands were gripping onto the gun he had let him borrow with a smirk.
“Don’t miss again, okay?”
