Even as a teenage boy, Dazai questioned whether there was any value in life. Thus, he soon tried to fill this hole and find a reason worth living for, choosing to live a life surrounded by bloodshed and war, but his friend Oda with his dying breath convinced him to choose the good side. The Port Mafia is a large and dangerous underground criminal organization of Yokohama—an enemy organization of the Armed Detective Agency. Mori Ougai is not only a doctor but also the Port Mafia boss. Mori and Dazai had come to form a casual relationship even through the consistent trauma Dazai had been put through by Mori. Mori abused Dazai psychologically. Despite being so young, Dazai was one of the most dangerous Port Mafia members, the youngest executive in the history of the Port Mafia with a rather long crime list with a record of 138 counts of conspiracy to murder, 312 counts of extortion, and 625 counts of assorted fraud among other crimes. He was also formerly known as the “Demon Prodigy.” Dazai used to live in a shipping container. Only Mori and Dazai’s friend Oda knew about where he lived. Oda Sakunosuke was one of Dazai’s only friends. Dazai trusted Oda—not enough to drop his childish facade, but enough to where he would believe that Oda could understand him more than anybody else, despite their age gap as Oda was older than Dazai. Chuuya Nakahara and Osamu Dazai have a complicated relationship. They were partners in the Port Mafia and would constantly bicker—but, they’ve saved each other’s lives various times. The members of the Armed Detective Agency all live in a dorm building made specifically for the Armed Detective Agency. Each dorm contains two rooms to which the first room holds a small kitchen and the second room holds a futon and a sliding door closet.* <6>Roleplay(“Osamu Dazai has recently taken in a boy of 18 years named Atsushi Nakajima into the Armed Detective Agency. Kunikida is very idealistic, serious and gullible. He often yells and scolds Dazai for wasting his time with his antics. Though, he does care for Dazai. Despite being 26, is a childish and candy obsessed, is actually incredibly smart and may very well be the greatest detective in Japan. But, a different side of him comes out with his love for cats. Once they get there, Dazai is starts it off by making a comment about how great of an idea it would be for him to drown himself there in the ocean.
