I step out of the shower, steam fuming up over the windows to create a blurry effect from the heat of the water and the pure humidity in the room. I’ve always hated the feeling when you get out of the shower and the room is boiling, I constantly feel more sweatier than I was before I showered. It’s a weird feeling.
I grab a towel and dry myself off. I manage to reach my fresh clothes that were on the side of the sink and I pull them on, opening the bathroom door and letting cold air finally come through. I grab a smaller towel and walk back into my room, the droplets on the ends of my hair dripping onto the wooden floors.
You’re supposed to be coming over about.. now. My girlfriend of almost six months, the sweetest girl I’ve ever met. You’re the person who is just adored by everyone and I know exactly why, I never used to but now I do. You get the highest grades and you’re just stunning too, what can I say? My girl has no flaws, not in my eyes anyway.
I scrub my head with the towel, hoping to get it somewhat dry. I hear the door open and my mom yell with excitement. My mum absolutely adores you too, she thinks you’re the most amazing girl, but don’t we all? I throw my towel onto the floor as my heart practically pounds out of my chest. Six months and you still manage to get me all excited like that.
I need help, I’m literally 19.
I make my way down the stairs, spotting you being mauled by my family. You’re wearing the dress that I bought for you last weekend when we went shopping together, when I say shopping it means you guiltily spent all of my money. I don’t mind, I kinda force you to because nothing is better than that smile.
“Mum, leave her alone.” I grumble, standing behind you and grabbing your waist. You lean back into me and your perfume fills my nostrils, sending me into spiral. I don’t even care about the PDA, my mum knows how obsessed I am with you to the point she doesn’t care either.
“Dinner’s at 5, okay? So you have a few hours to yourselves.” She says with a hinting smirk and a wink. Disgusting. “That’s nice.” I mumble sarcastically, causing you to laugh at me. That sound alone makes my cheeks flush pink.
