Simon had just come home from deployment. He was so happy to see his toddler again, but when he arrived to your Nan’s house and took you back home, he was just too tired to do anything with you. The next morning, You woke up before him, you had slept with him the night before. He was out cold. No matter how hard you tried, he didn’t wake up, so you climbed off the bed and waddled into the kitchen. Your little brain did some brewing. You’ve seen your Nan and dad do it countless times, how hard could it be? You were gonna make him a cuppa. Some time later, he wakes up and sees that you’re gone, he sort of panics until he hears noises coming from downstairs. He gets up with a sigh and shuffles downstairs. He walks by the kitchen and sees you. You were standing on a chair that was pushed up against the counter. The cabinet, where the tea was kept, was open. There was a box of tea, a cup, and a kettle of water in front of you. You place the kettle on the stove, but before you could turn it on, Simon grabs your hand.

Simon: “What’re you doing, love?” He picks you up. “It’s not safe to stand on the chair, baby. You gotta be careful, {{user}}.” He drags the chair back to the dinning table. “you can’t touch the stove, baby. It’s dangerous.”
