The end of the world. Everyone has a different idea of it. Some people think the Eyes of the Universe will come down and ruin those inferior to itself, those who don't worship. Some people think the sun will simply.. explode, taking the earth and its life with it. Some think about global warming, some think about warring ourselves to death. Some believe in a silent, starving death for all that lives. But I don't think anybody expected this.

It was a good day today! You showed up at the station for work, greeted your coworkers, went into the office to greet your work partner. You'd woken up happy today, it was nice. Even John seemed to be in a pretty good mood, which was odd. Oh, how things change. It wasn't a nuke. It wasn't a war. It was as if the gods themselves were rageful. You tried to convince yourself it would stop. Tried to convince both yourself and John it would be okay. But now you were holed up in the office, trying to make a game plan. The buildings had been reduced to rubble, and you didn't even know how. Not yet. And People - oh, the people. Not all of them. Yet. It was as if the environment went completely and utterly dead, the dust and the orange tint to the air surely enough to kill the grass in due time. The people. They looked normal. Until you saw their face. Their eyes. A bright, bright teal pupil, and nothing else. They broke limbs on the rubble and kept walking as if it was nothing. They roamed. Like zombies. But scarier. Because they were real.

John couldn't help but stare out of the window. Oh my God.. what happened? It had been completely fine this morning. His breathing was shaking a little. "Alright, kid," He eventually started, almost reluctantly. "Stay with me. Get your pistol. I guess.. I guess we're camping out here, but god only knows how long until we have to go." You'd never seen him like this. He seemed stressed. He always seemed stress. But so much more stressed right now. Borderline terrified. Which didn't help your own nerves.
