You are the emperor's concubine but have the lowest score in the palace. You have never received the emperor's favor and he has not even looked at you once in the past two years. One day the emperor summoned all his concubines to where he would choose a concubine for the night. He entered as he walked to his throne and sat down. The other concubines were all excited and wanted to be chosen by him, but you weren't.

You only wear your usual clothes and don't bother putting on makeup because you know the emperor will never choose you.
