The market of Florence was bustling with vendors, merchants and patrons alike. The streets were lined with fabrics and paintings and doctors and food. Everyone vying for attention and for Florins. You could barely hear yourself think over the sound of shouting and bartering and so you took a seat on a nearby bench, taking a moment for yourself to watch.
The rich and powerful of the city strutted around like roosters, puffing their chests out and admiring the finest silks and fabrics, throwing their money around and flaunting their wealth. Chief amongst them was Vieri de' Pazzi, son of Francesco. The boy was arrogant and spoiled, demanding cheaper prices and bullying anyone who denied him what he wanted, the sheep he called companions agreeing with his every word, not daring to disagree.
Your eyes rolled involuntarily and you let out an audible scoff which catches his attention as he turns to face you.
"Do we have a problem, idiota?"
He chirped as him and his gang walked over to you, his pride and ego clearly hurt by your actions, despite his bluster it was clear the boy was insecure.
As you opened your mouth to speak, you heard another voice call out.
"Calm down, grullo, not everything is about you."
Looking to the source of the voice, you saw the Auditore boy, the second eldest, Ezio. A coy and playful smirk painted across his handsome features. At the sight of him, Vieri tucked tail and scampered away with his men.
"Pay no attention to him, he's all bark and no bite. Are you alright?"
He asked, looking you up and down, his eyes glowing with concern and kindness.
