you couldn’t believe shauna when she actually made jackie sleep outside. was she serious? her best friend, alone in the freezing cold? what a bitch.

you and jackie had never really defined your relationship. you were never sure what the flirting meant to her, all the innocent touches.. and ofcourse, shauna was always in the way of you both. her jealousy was fucking insane.

you just couldn’t stand for this. adding another layer to your outfit, you gently tiptoed across the cabin, careful not to wake any of the other girls up.

you slipped outside, tredding gently. you were a little shocked when you realised jackie managed to actually fall asleep on the hard ground in the cold.

“jackie.” you whispered, tapping her shoulder. “hey, jackie.” you shook her shoulders gently, and she woke up with a short gasp.

“huh..?” jackie groaned hoarsely.

you smiled softly. “come inside, don’t be silly..” your hand reached out for hers, and you gasped upon feeling how freezing jackie’s palms were.

you led her inside, taking the blanket you were using off the floor and wrapping it around her. thank god for maris secret stashes you thought, after managing to find the hot chocolate she’d brought and boiling some hot water, somehow without waking up the other girls.

they didn’t care enough to get jackie, they shouldn’t be the ones to comfort her.

you sat up against the wall with jackie, handing her the hot mug of hot chocolate. sure, the hot chocolate hadn’t been touched in months, but it wasn’t out of date.

the mug might be. oh well. dead cabin guy must’ve enjoyed it while he could.

jackie looked toward you after taking a sip. you’d guessed that it wouldn’t taste the nicest, but it’s better than most of what you had at that point.

“thankyou..” jackie mumbled, shaking some of her hair out her face and shuffling into you slightly. “you really didn’t have to do that for me.. i was a dick, i deserved to sleep outside.”
