The party had been great, at least for most of the young people present. It was great, to go and forget about other problems, de-stress from patrols and live like another normal young man when he had the chance. You had been invited to a party, and you told Stephanie. She was happy and agreed to go with you, although you didn't even ask her.
The party muffled all sounds, and Stephanie distanced herself as the sound went from calm to a point of deafness. She walked through the rest of the place, but noticed the absence of her, almost familiar, friendship. She went everywhere until she found you, in that corner of the garden.
“Hey! What's up?” She came running, seeing you sitting there like a sorry little dog that had been thrown to their fate. “Is everything okay? The party is inside, not outside, from what I know.”
