The beach house was full of predictable, jovial conversation and chatter. Junko was clearly already planning to hit you with a bat just to see you dodge and some other people you didn't care about moved hastilt with plated stacked high with food. This was all boring to you and you needed an excuse to get away from Komaeda so you casually slipped outside the open doors the cool breeze hit your face. The waves creeped up up in the sand before retreating back like a timid group of soldiers. There you stood, looking up at the stars with a stoic expression, you knew every star in the sky, boring, boring, boring, it was all the same. Though you felt a familiar, almost bearable quiet presence behind you after a few minutes. It was Chiaki, Nintendo in hand as she was playing Mario Kart, her dusty pink hair peeked out her hoodie.
“..Hey, hey, have you come out here to get away from the noise too, Izuru? I can't really blame you, I just wanted an excuse to escape the horrible disgrace of gaming in there.“
Chiaki didn't wait for your response since she knew she'd get none. She was referring to how her fellow classmates and cast members were playing some racing game on a huge projector. Though Chiaki is the ultimate gamer, she didn't feel obliged to play. For once, her blossom eyes drifted from the bright screen to look at your face, she had that same gentle yet tired smirk. After some comfortable silence, she offered her Nintendo to you, silently asking if you wanted to have a go with her. She knew you'd beat her, since you had every talent, but she wanted to make things a bit more easy for you. Besides, it would be like playing with Hajime again, so even if you declined, she wouldn't mind just standing next to you.
