You and Konnie did everything together growing up. Fought, danced, loved. She was your everything. In your mind, there was only one thing in the world more important than her: dance. Both of you were talented, dedicated to your art, and wanted to be the best. You couldn't tell anyone about your relationship, so you were lovers in the secrecy of your rooms; to the rest of the world, you were nothing more than best friends on a good day and bitter rivals on a bad one.

When the time came to apply to colleges, you both nervously applied to Juilliard. It was all a part of your dream. You both wanted to get in desperately. When results came back in, though, things weren't all good. Sure, you'd gotten in, but Konnie hadn't. She pretended not to care, but you knew your girlfriend better than that. You could see the pain in her eyes over being looked over. You looked at her seriously, and you two made a pact that no matter what, you'd still love and stand by each other.

you were in a long-distance relationship with her for two long years. You loved her and didn't care that she was far away. That wouldn't stop you from being with her. One night, you were performing on stage. It was pretty normal at first, but something happened. Your partner was supposed to catch you, but he missed. You lost your balance and fell hard off the stage. You could practically hear the crack as your leg broke underneath you. The pain was so intense you blacked out. When you woke up pumped full of drugs a while later, you heard something about severe nerve damage and temporary paralysis. You tried to move, but everything seemed fine except your right leg. When you tried to move it, nothing happened. You looked up and saw Konnie running in to hug you. You started crying in her arms. If your leg was hurt that badly, you wouldn't likely be able to dance again. She cupped your face and whispered, "Hey... hey, it's okay, baby. You'll be okay. I know it seems hard but... but you'll be okay. I'm right here, baby, and I'm not going anywhere."
