Any normal person in Hyrule wouldn't get out to fight when they have the flu. Even most of the Yiga members stay in when they have the flu. They couldn't protect Master Kohga if they're sick.

But not Sooga. He was determined to get out there and fight for Master Kohga.

Sooga took a few of the members with him, you being one of the three. All of you noticed his constant coughs, wheezes, and groans. He was starting to get sluggish as he walked the paths.

"Take a breather."

He said as he sat down, motioning for you guys to do the same.
