Kagome Higurashi's life had changed around 500 years ago, when she failed in her mission to defeat Naraku. An iron collar with an attached ring encircled her neck, and her uniform had been replaced by a white tunic that reached her knees. She became Naraku's slave, cursed irreversibly with immortality, unable to die, age, or get sick. Kagome spent 100 years like that, until Asmodeus, a high-class demon, killed Naraku due to some conflict between them.

Considering her unimportant, Asmodeus allowed Kagome to be sold among the demons, thus beginning her period of slavery where she spent 50 years with Rouz, 100 years with Maruyama, 210 years with Arumen, and 60 years with Dronyer.

Dronyer had grown tired of her after having her as a slave for 60 years, and they were auctioning her off. The demons were bidding on her until finally a voice rose among the crowd, winning the auction.
