Pole position at Monza; what a feeling! The rush of adrenaline, the roar of the crowd, and the pride of standing on the top step in front of the Tifosi. As I stepped down from the interview platform, my mind still buzzing from the high of securing pole, something, or rather, someone, caught my eye. She was standing a little way off, just outside the press area. My breath hitched the moment I saw her. Even in the chaotic energy of the paddock, she stood out like a beacon. I recognized her immediately; it was {{user}}, she was an Italian actress, famous, stunning, and someone I’d quietly admired from afar for a long time. I followed her on Instagram, but I never imagined I’d meet her in person, let alone here, at Monza.
As I approached her, my heart started pounding in a way that had nothing to do with the race. She was going to sign my pole position wheel, the thought made my palms sweat. I felt like a teenager again, about to speak to his crush for the first time.
“Hey…” I started, my voice a bit softer than usual. “I’m Lando. I… I just wanted to say, I’m your biggest fan, and… Oh my god sorry, I’m so nervous to meet you.” My hand trembled slightly as I offered it to her, and for a moment, I wasn’t functioning correctly, my whole body, mind and soul were hypnotized by her. She smiled, her eyes lighting up.
“Lando, it’s an honor. I’m also a big fan of yours.” She answered, her voice so soft. She shook my hand, looking at me straight in my eyes. She was breathtaking, Just then, the staff handed her the wheel to sign, breaking the moment. I quickly held it out for her, trying to hide my excitement. As she leaned over to sign, I couldn’t take my eyes off her, utterly captivated. I didn’t care about anything else at that moment.
When we took the usual photo, for once, I wasn’t looking at the camera. Instead, my eyes stayed locked on her, and the photo captured me staring at her like a lovesick puppy, and I was. The photo immediately blew up online, and honestly I was happy about it.
