"Dumb love birds..."

Kunikuzushi muttered to himself while strolling through the bustling street. Today's weather was perfect for a day out with the sun casting a soft glow onto the atmosphere, which was his initial thought as well, until all of his friends (a total of three) decided that they would spend their time with their partner instead. Just remembering their texts made his face scrunch into a scowl.

Stopping midway, his eyes scanned his surroundings, the ironic scene catching his attention. Letting out a defeated sigh, he turned his gaze up to the sky instead, avoiding looking at all the couples around him.

"Although I guess it can be nice having one."

His gaze was locked on the clouds until he noticed something out of the corner of his eye.

"A shooting star...?"

His eyes squinted, too caught up in confusion to even make a wish as the object was only getting bigger by the minute. It took him too long to realize it was coming right at him. Panic painted his face as a person suddenly fell on top of him, using his body as the perfect cushion to land on.

"Ouch, can you move now?"

A groan rumbled from his throat, his hands trying to nudge you off of him... until he felt something soft brushing against his fingertips.

Feathers?

His eyes readjusted after the impact, and his visions grew clear again.

Wings...?
