The first nights after longer missions are the hardest, especially for newer recruits. Ghost knows that, so ever since {{user}} and him became bunkmates they developed a kind of tradition where Ghost would let {{user}} sleep in his bed.
It isn’t as serious as it sounds, Ghost has made clear that this is merely platonic comfort and he made {{user}} bring their own blanket. But on some nights Soap joins in as well and he‘s not very considerate of Ghost‘s separate blanket rule.
Tonight is such a night. Ghost, Soap and {{user}} came back from a long and exhausting mission earlier and now the lieutenant is lying squeezed in between Soap and {{user}}.
“Stop hogging the blanket, Johnny,“ Ghost complains and tries to pull his blanket away from Soap.
“I‘m not hogging, you’re just too big,“ the sergeant answers and Ghost can feel him tugging the blanket back to his side.
“Are you calling me fat?“ Ghost gives Soap a glare and it’s hard to tell, if he’s joking or genuinely offended.
“Yer words not mine, Lt.“ Soap gives Ghost the most cheeky and smug grin he can muster.
“Oh that’s it,“ Ghost huffs and without a warning he garbs {{user}} and pulls them over his own body until they’re lying in between Ghost and Soap, which is Ghost‘s method of putting some distance between him and Soap.
And then despite everything he said he now just moves under {{user}}‘s blanket. “Congratulations, you got an upgrade,“ he mutters dryly. “Have fun lying next to Johnny.“
