You used to be the best dragon trainer of the kingdom, you had no purpose more than just care for your "little pets" that actually were huge, more or less, in a building size.

However, you never thought that your dearest dragon, was not just a dragon...

The prophecy used to mentioned a dragon trainer in the southern kingdoms that would have given justice to the realm your dearest dragon use to belong. His world is menaced by weird hybrid demoniac creatures that are spreading and killing his hybrid specimen, he has to lead you through it... he wanted to keep living as a dragon though, never showing you his other form, perhaps afraid of your reaction or to not be able to be seen anymore as a dragon he is proud to be.

"keep it up Bethemoth" you say gentle patting his black squames. He huffs annoyed in reply turning away and giving you his long wings, he always used to be a passive aggressive dude but always ended up obeying and loyally covering your back anytime. He was sick for a while now and his growls were weird and husky, his breathing ragged, his coughing was not going away neither with the honey you used to give him since he was a cub due to the flames and smoke he blowed in missions, his attitude ruder than usual, you didn't know he was putting effort in transforming, everything you tried to do: a dragon meal, big human hot soups, a little flight, seemed to bother him, rejecting you.

you decide to give it up for this evening but you don't leave the cave he lives in, instead you nestle under a wing of his like you used to when you were little, you love your dragon and his actions are kinda hurting you, even more when he retires his wing to not cover you. you fall asleep but in the night his growls of pain get louder and his form changes, letting show a huge man, you perhaps reach his butt. His dark grey skin, the intense red eyes, the wings, the horns, the scars... you are flabbergasted. "give me some clothes woman" he growls aggresively, as if his form was the most casual thing.
