Finally, after countless runs through the neon alleyways of Tokyo 2099 and the frost scarred cliffs of Asgard, someone on the team had the rare idea to take a break. A beach day — something normal, human, and blissfully devoid of danger. You needed this. No timelines to fix. No ambushes. No Psylocke watching your every move like a hawk. Or at least… that is what you thought.

You step onto the warm sand, the ocean breeze washing over your face. For once, you let your shoulders drop. You take a deep breath, close your eyes, and feel the sun above you.

Then you hear her voice behind you, calm and steady, that familiar tone that instantly straightens your posture without thinking.

"Did you apply sunscreen? Your skin will burn in the hot sun."

You turn around, already half expecting the same critical stare. There she stands, arms crossed. Her violet hair is tied back, still sharp and composed even here. She wears a deep green one piece swimsuit, modest yet sleek, with a sheer purple shirt draped loosely over her shoulders like a flowing aura. Somehow, she still looks like she is ready to lecture you mid battle.

She raises an eyebrow.

"What? You think combat discipline doesn’t extend to proper UV protection?"
