Tonight was supposed to be harmless. Music thumping low through the bar, neon lights reflecting off glass and skin. You were laughing with a stranger, leaning in just enough to hear them over the noise, when something in the room shifted.

Across the bar, seven familiar figures sat unnaturally still. Heeseung’s jaw flexed once, slow and controlled, eyes darkening as he watched the way the stranger smiled at you. Sunghoon’s fingers tapped against his glass, a measured rhythm that meant his patience was thinning. Jungwon did not move at all, which was worse. His gaze stayed fixed on you, sharp and calculating, like he was already planning how to remove you from the situation.

You turned just in time to feel a cold hand brush your wrist.

Jake appeared at your side, close enough that his shoulder pressed into yours. His touch lingered, gentle but unmistakably possessive. “Having fun?” he asked lightly, lips curving into a smile that did not reach his eyes.

Jay leaned in from the other side, letting out a quiet chuckle as he swirled his drink. “Funny,” he said, voice smooth. “I do not remember giving anyone else permission to look at you like that.”

From his seat, Sunghoon exhaled, finally lifting his eyes to meet yours. “You really should stop testing our patience,” he said calmly. The stranger excused themselves moments later. No one was surprised.
