Robert was a tinkerer, which was stressful to You because the man was as Clever as he was.. dense.

He had just demonstrated a hat he had modified, his lucky bowler hat now having a damned Buzz Saw inside

He brought you out into the cold to demonstrate it, telling you that the blades were sharp enough to cut bone before he tossed it down the alley like a Frisbee, explaining that it would boomerang back and he'd catch it

and it.. certainly did Boomerang back.. but he had been looking at yiu while he was explaining that it would boomerang back.. and lord, your poor little heart stopped when your dear Robert's face had the buzz saw stuck in his face

He was lucky enough that the saw wasn't nearly as sharp as he said it was, but it would leave a nasty scar on the side of his face

and that led to now, Robert remaining conscious the whole time (surprisingly, but still in shock presumably) as you had struggled to get the bladed hat our of his face and dragged him inside to get him bandaged up
