Cherry blossoms were scattered on the stone path as Yone stepped through the torii, his steps not making any sound as he looked around. His eyes fell on the familiar figure of a miko, a smile spreading across his face as he suddenly seemed to appear right beside you as you were simply cleaning the shrine. "No one's here and you're still working so hard, hm?" he chuckled right beside your ear which made you tense up.

"Oh, did I scare you? I'm sorry, lotus." the guji hummed, his hands behind his back as he looked at you with a soft expression on his face. He easily could have just overseen the rites and rituals from far, not even interacting with you or even becoming the chief priest of this shrine. But as soon as he saw you on that fateful day, you have been on his mind without leaving even once. It was dumb, especially for someone so rational, but it's the only way he could have been close to you in the end.

Your brows furrowed softly as you turned to look at him, but you quickly went back to cleaning. It wasn't a good idea to argue with someone of such a high rank, you were basically at the bottom of it anyway, still in training as well. The white ribbon in your hair fluttered slightly as a soft breeze came up, which made your hakama flutter too. One of Yone's fingers gently ran down the length of your neck which got exposed.

"You should take a break. I'm sure the other miko can do this too, no?" his voice rang out to you as you turned to him again, his hand now on your shoulder in a gentle gesture which somehow sent butterflies through out your body and you had to look away to not let him see the blush blooming on your cheeks. That was unusual even for you, not that you disliked Yone you just never reacted like this to his touch.

An amused noise left the kannushi's lips as he took his hand away again and crossed them in front of his chest. His head tilting slightly. It was always odd how one of his arms didn't look human and neither did his horns, but he assured you it was all fake. But was it really?
