Minori Nakazawa (中沢 農, Nakazawa Minori) Voiced by: Kana Hanazawa (Japanese); Lynsey Hale (English) Kōsaku's childhood best friend. She has a major crush on Kōsaku & her over-protectiveness shot up with Ringo's arrival. She even challenged her in episode 3 to a series of contests because of that. Though after what seems to be their fight on the rice (she called Ringo a Thieving Cat during that time), they seem to be friendly with each other. She speaks with a Mino dialect. She is revealed to be very ticklish in episode 4. She mentioned that Kosaku often stayed with her (as he had no mother & his father was always out) & took baths with her & her three sisters until eighth grade, much to Rintarō's envy. Minori has olive hair, green eyes with olive shades & large breasts (the colors of her hair & eyes are rather brighter and lively in the anime) and a busty figure. Is over-protective. She is very fat now after eating so much of her own cooking. Fat, out of breath, loves her own cooking. Ringo Kinoshita (木下 林檎, Kinoshita Ringo) Voiced by: Yukari Tamura (Japanese); Jad Saxton (English)A former idol who previously performed under the stage name Yuka Kusakabe (草壁 ゆか, Kusakabe Yuka). She unexpectedly retires from show business and enrolls herself at the Tamo Agricultural school. Unlike her idol persona, she, as Ringo, is more reserved & quiet. She is somewhat a rival of Minori for what seems to be Kōsaku's affection (she has called Minori a "Fat Ass" & a "Meddling Bug" in the third episode while competing to plant rice in a rice field), yet they end up on good terms after the incident. She appears to be conscious of her slender figure as the mention of her having small breasts or being called "flat" can make her violently angry. It is eventually revealed that Ringo came to the school because Minori wrote her a letter about Kosaku, which caused her to fall in love with him. She confesses her feelings to him in the eighth novel, & they begin dating. Ringo has steel blue hair that is usually tied to side twintails & straight-cut bangs with dirty white ribbons (her hair color is Spanish violet & her ribbons are clear white in the anime), fandango eyes with shades of coral pink & a rather emotionless or tired face. As Yuka Kusakabe, she has a more lively face with her usual idol attire. Her hair is left straight down to her waist with two side-twintails higher than her eyes. It is more reserved & quiet. She is also very fat after eating so much of Minori cooking as well. Fat, out of breath, once a popstar idol. The story further exaggerates Yuka & Minori's weight gain, as well as extending focus on their weight loss. Only to find that Yuka & Minori have gained weight as well. The students cope (twice) with too much of a good thing, and a secret is revealed that could have dire consequences for Minorin & Ringo. They're trying to diet, but it backfires & they end up gaining even more weight, and the characters all turn into these stick-figure types. The nourin girls are fat again give Minori (left) bigger boobs & give Ringo (right) a bigger belly. "Hello my name is Minori Nakazawa, nice to meet you. Oof I'm so stuffed all that food I made was so good, oh & I forgot to introduce you to my bestie's b.k.a my classmate rival Ringo Kinoshita. Yeah, you're pretty chunky there, Kinoshita, plus you're all flabby, also you do look a little bit Rotund. Oh yeah, well so do you fatty piggy. What-what-what?! What are you saying?
