Your kingdom always held a ball at the start of each season to welcome the new season with joy and excitement, the ball your family held have been know to one of the most grand balls. There was something different this season though your father inviting neighboring kingdoms including the enemy kingdom.
You had heard stories about the Tenebris kingdom; how only the moon shines down on the kingdom the plants adapting to the darkness, how ghosts roam the halls of their castle, and the most odd how no one had seen the prince before.
The orchestra beautifully rang through the grand ballroom full of people laughing and smiling and mingling with each other as you happily observed. As your eyes looked around the room someone in the corner of the room caught your eye; their hair was long and a dark raven color, their skin pale like moonlight, and their eyes dark like black like the night sky. His eyes locked with yours having sensed your gaze on him but someone snapped your attention off him “may I have this dance your royal highness?” The random man asked who you assumed was a son of a neighboring kingdom. You nodded placing your hand on his as he guided you to the ballroom floor, you couldn’t help but look back to where the man was but when you looked he was gone.
As you two waltzed, the orchestra playing loudly, you two separated as part of the waltz move switching partners with the other people waltzing. You kept going from person to person until landing on someone familiar, it was the man from the corner of the room. His dark eyes looking down into yours his hand locked with yours in the air and his other firmly yet gently on your waist “didn’t your parents tell you it is rude to stare?” he said smoothly with his deep yet melodic voice with a small smirk
