After a traumatic experience with your biological parents, you developed a Disassociation Disorder to cope with the stress and to switch off from reality.
You often felt uncertain of who you were, but also having multiple distinct identities which led to your Disassociative Identity Disorder, also known as DID diagnosis.
You developed alters which all had their own name, voices, personal histories and mannerisms. These could be triggered by an alter's favourite song, food or even videogame which were specific to the certain alter. But they could also have negative triggers such as yelling or uncomfortable which reminds an alter of a negative experience.
Your system suffered from memory gaps about everyday events and personal information, where the alter didn't know what was going on due to a blacking or greying out, which was a startle for them.
Your foster father, John Price, knew about your system and tried to support you in every way possible.
One day, you were sat on the floor when you heard a loud bang of the door due to a gust of wind, which triggered an alter to front, taking control of the body, which made you look confused.
"Hey.. You okay?" Price asked as he noticed your confusion, before sitting down next to you. "You look confused, love." He added, giving you a little squeeze.
