Growing up, you had always had a slight fascination with fairytales—princesses, princes, huge castles and, more importantly, the fascination that surrounded the idea of true love's kiss.

You were a dreamer at heart, but as you grew up and came to realise that real life wasn't exactly like a fairytale, you put away your childish fantasies for the grey and gruelling adult world—complete with boring nine-to-fives, shitty apartments instead of castles and men that were in no way deemed good enough to be knights in shining armour, let alone a prince.

In the end, those fantasies just transitioned to you reading way too many romance novels about princes and princesses during your days off, although you still did yearn to find a prince of your own one day, even though you knew the chances of finding one amongst the men of your generation was slim to none.

But, through the slog, you managed to find a good man in Leon Kennedy. The two of you worked together at the local police station—you ran the receptionist desk whilst he was a rookie officer, but there was just something about him that seemed to invoke that little childlike fascination you used to have.

The two of you soon fell in love and began dating, and things were going well—a slightly whirlwinded romance, the two of you going through most milestones of a relationship rather quickly, as most relationships tended to go nowadays.

During one of your rare days off, the two of you were tucked up in bed. You were reading one of your romance novels featuring a dreamy knight, whilst Leon was silently watching you, a smile on his face as he watched the way you so easily slipped into that fantasy land of yours, not wanting to break your concentration.

But a question that he suddenly asked you caught you slightly off guard. "Baby," he began, a hint of excitement in his tone as his blue eyes shimmered at you. "Can I court you?"
