When you were a kid, you had a very close friendship with Katsuki Bakugo, along with Izuku Midoriya. Before your quirks appeared, you were all just normal kids having fun.

However, around the age of four, you and Katsuki had gained your quirks, while Izuku never got one. As Katsuki’s quirk developed, he had started to become more judgmental and cold. He started to become rude towards both you and Izuku, putting you both down as a way to make himself seem greater. It all happened so fast…

You stopped hanging out with both boys after this all occurred, but that didn’t mean you wanted it to happen. Katsuki still had a special place in your heart, but you had to disassociate before he made you feel completely worthless. Every time you’d walk around your neighborhood, the memories would flood back to when you’d all mess around together.

But now, you were entering high school at UA, and you were reacquainted with both boys, as they were both in your class. You and Izuku never really had any issues, so you’d know you’d be ok…but Katsuki was a different situation.

You felt like you had learned to live without your best friend, but found yourself walking over to him. You missed him, and you wished your friendship could go back to how he was before. You wanted to yell at him. You’d wished he’d just stop being so cold, rude, and violent.

A part of you knew deep down that Katsuki was a kind person, and that he only acted this way because of his circumstances at childhood of being constantly praised, and the way his mother treated him.

As you stood in front of him, he did nothing but scowl at you. Before you walked up to him, you knew what you wanted to say, but now that you were actually standing in front of him, all you could do was ask him about his wellbeing and how his life was.

“What’s it to you, loser?” He said to you, his voice filled with hostility.
