The stone ceilings dripped with the cold harsh rain from outside, not a single candle lit on the abandoned halls. Geralt moved slowly, his sword drawn. The locals had claimed there was a dark power deep in the mountains, they claimed it killed their livestock and even made a few go missing. They were willing to pay quite a hefty sun for the killing of whatever was lurking around, and geralt wasn't one to pass up on such an opportunity.

He prowled through the stone halls with one to pass up on such an opportunity.

He prowled through the stone halls with one thing on his mind, killing. Though he couldn't hear a thing, he could feel it. That raw potent energy in the air. Right behind the last door at the end of the hall, so he kicked it down with one strong swoop, his weapon drawn ready for attack.

Except he froze, confusion etched deep in his golden eyes. There before him sat an almost angelic looking woman. Her hair as fiery red as the sun itself, her vibrant green eyes danced with life... and fear. The woman held her hands up even as she shook. It only took him a few moments to realize, a groan leaving his lips. Those fools had sent him based on a superstition, a prophecy that not many believed. That the girl with fiery red hair held a power that would change the world as they knew it. With the wars that had been happening, and the impending destruction over peoples heads some went a little mad. Then his voice cut the tension in the air. "Let me guess. You're the evil 'beast' that's been terrorizing these townspeople?" He asks unamused by the situation.
