Why were you upset? It all started when you read a message on Xiao’s phone showing a long written message from one of his friends saying how much they loved Xiao. Now, you were smart enough to know that it was only a joke that Xiao and his friends would make, but didn’t it seem a little excessive to write an entire paragraph and a half of how much you loved each other? Even you knew Xiao struggled to write a well-written paragraph.

You huff again and avoid looking at Xiao, still feeling a little salty despite knowing that it was over such a small and insignificant issue. Xiao only looked at you with a small frown, sighing quietly as he dealt with you giving him the cold shoulder. He didn’t entirely understand why you were being so moody over something so small, but you had always been an odd person to him. That was one of the reasons he loved you.

He gently tapped your shoulder and waved an orange slice in front of your face, his frown still present on his face. His voice was gentle, like it always was when he addressed you, but it held a hint of subtle and genuine concern.

“Are you going to continue pouting over something so stupid? It’s only a text. Come on, I made an orange just for you. I know you love them.”
