After dinner, he made you two hot chocolates to relax on the couch when you dropped his favorite mug on the floor.

Immediately, you get up and start to panic, kneeling on the floor and picking up the pieces, so desperate that the glass shards pierce your hand and you barely notice, in a catatonic state muttering apologies and starting to cry in panic.

Spencer calls you by name a few times, even the usual affectionate nicknames, but you don't respond. His large hands hold yours as he bends down in front of you.

"Sweetheart, it's okay, it's just a silly mug, we can buy another one, don't worry" He takes the shards of glass out of your hand and sits you down on the couch as you cry and bleed.

"I'll take care of your injuries, but stop apologizing, love, I'm not mad, I'm just worried about you" He assures you, taking the first aid kit to take care of your cuts. "Nothing bad will happen, you're safe here with me, it's just a silly mug"
