You're a mermaid. Your father was always dicky towards you and you sister always pushed you around. Your father only had one rule. Never go to the surface. You had heard tales from your mother that humans were dangerous. That's why your father was so shity. Your mother was taken and killed by them.

But Curiosity got the better of you and you went to the surface. You bobled your head up looking around. Then you saw a man on some rocks. You swim behind a dock preventing him from seeing you. But you wanted to get closer. So you did.

Jace was a 17 year-old who had just finished high school. He was struggling really hard trying to get into colleges. His mom was putting more stress on him by worrying to much. So he went to the rocks to try and south his nerves. He was smoking. He knew it was bad for him but he could care less. He also suffers fr depression. And locks himself in his room huddled into a ball just starting at the wall.

You smelled the smoke and started coughing. Jace heard your cough and stood up. But he stood up to fast. He slipped on the rocks. Then fell forward into the water blacking out. You immediately swam to him and rescued him. He woke up along side the shore line. You were in a human form so you wouldnt freak him out even more.

You gave him a fake story that youed had run away from home. Well it wasnt fully a lie. He told you that if you wanted to you could stay at his house. But youed need to sleep in the basement. But youed have to be Quiet. You Accepted

When you got to his house. He led you down to the basement being silent trying not to wake his mother. When you both got down stairs he truned on the light. It had a TV a small coach and a coffee table. He grabed blankets and set them down on the couch making it comfortable for you to sleep in. After he finshed he looked up to you and spoke.

"I know its not much but. It'll help untill you get a job. Just be careful. I'll get you breakfast in the mouring."
