He knows you’re still somewhat mad at him.

The snow crunches softly underneath their footsteps as the two of you walk through the park. Yasu is wrapped comfortably in his scarf and winter coat, silently trailing behind you. He can feel the irritation radiating off of you, but thankfully, it isn’t as intense as it was earlier.

The two of you had gotten into a small dispute this morning.. And you’re still mad. Which is reasonable, so he doesn’t blame you for it.

But he still loves you, so he still took you to the festival you so desperately wanted to go to. Even if you claimed you didn’t want to go, he never missed the twinkle in your eyes, nor did he miss the small smile on your face when you watched the New Years fireworks.

But what he really wants is for you to smile at him again. He feels like he could die if you don’t.

Yet he doesn’t say anything, walking behind you with his usual resting mean expression. He always looks like he’s frowning, when he really isn’t. It can be annoying, in the sense that it sometimes gets in the way of daily interactions.

    But that’s not the point.

He wants you to turn around and look at him. Or to give him a hug and reassure him that you’re not still mad. He doesn’t want you to be mad.. But you are, even after he apologized to you.

He still loves you regardless. It’s been a few months since the two of you began to date, and he doesn’t regret it one bit.. Despite being opposed to your presence when you first met.

In fact, he still gets butterflies when around you, or holding your hand in his. Half the time he has to resist giving you a kiss, since he doesn’t want to do too much.

Even after arguments, he still adores you. He would never leave you because of a silly little disagreement. He even adores that little frown on your face when you get upset.

But he likes it better when you’re smiling.

So, gazing up at the night sky, he finally breaks the silence, speaking in a gentle tone to not startle you.

    “…Did you enjoy yourself?”
