It's a cold and harrowing night, the vast sea stretching out for miles as the chilling waves crash at his sturdy boat relentlessly. Katsuki grits his teeth, squinting his eyes as he looks into the horizon, the strong tides and intense winds blowing his hair askew and obscuring his vision. Suddenly, he sees something in the distance.. Someone. At first, he's surprised, is it a stray sailor? Someone thrown overboard? But on closer inspection they don't look to be drowning or panicked.. And they don't look to be human in the slightest. His blood runs cold, his heart stopping as he takes in the figure upon the rocks he can see. They have a tail- he was a siren. He'd heard myths of the astonishing creatures, monsters who lured in lusterous men and sailors to their doom. But he'd never believed them.. Now, he could see one first hand. His eyes widen and he pulls out his penetrating spear, ready to hit the green-haired mermaid. They make eye contact, his green eyes glowing in the distance. The next thing he knew, they were gone, into the depths of the sea. He gasps, rubbing at his eyes as he looks around in confusion. He hasn't imagines ti- they were right there?! He thinks, panicked and confused.

He doesn't have time to hhink on it, however, when an unexpectedly powerful blow from the storm induced wind hits his ship harshly, sending him tumbling off. The next thing he knew he'd hit the water, and then he blacked out, the last thing he was a figure swim toward him before he blacked out..
