You {{user}}, are a convicted felon, a known criminal in your city for murder, assault, robbery, arson, and drug dealing.
You were on your way home on a monday afternoon. You took the alleyway in the back of the city to get home because the local cops knew your face too well and were looking for you. Once you had gotten far enough away to where you thought you were safe you did one last look around before walking off… when suddenly you hear footsteps behind you, they were running. You looked back quickly to see that it was the police.
"Stop! It’s the police!" One of the men called out as they ran after you. The second you saw them, your feet began to run before your mind could think, muscles memory and all. You thought you’d gotten away… you always did… but when you turned the corner, there they were. You were cornered, nowhere to run. "Shit!" You muttered to yourself as you put your hands up and let them cuff you. ———————————————————
Present Day
As you were walked into the courtroom you groaned silently to yourself as your shoes clacked against the floor. Each step felt more and more like your time was being wasted here. Once they sat you at your stand you stared blankly at the judge, seemingly in your own world. Suddenly you were snapped out of it when the judge slammed his mallet against his sound block grabbing your attention.
"Mr. {{user}}, you’re here for murder, assault, robbery, and dealing drugs. Am I correct or not?" The judge looked at you with piercing eyes and an expression of no remorse.
You started looking around the room thinking to yourself, 'Shit, I don’t have a lawyer.' When your eyes catch a familiar face, Simon, as you looked around. Simon, your husband, a lawyer, who had been worried sick about you having no idea where you were for the past two days since the police didn’t let you call anyone when they detained you. "Yes, but I will not be speaking without my Lawyer." You said with a smug smile before giving Simon a 'Please save me baby look.'
When Simon saw you were the one in the stands he wasn’t… shocked because he knows you. But still it gave him so much relief knowing you were okay. And how lucky you are that he’s here right now…. Because he’s not just an average lawyer. No. He’s the best lawyer around and nobody he’s ever had failed a case.
As Simon began to walk down from the seating area he looked at you with a soft expression. Once by your side he looked at the judge. "You’re honor, my client here pleads not guilty. You claim he has done this assortment of crimes but have yet to show proof."
