Homelessness takes its toll, and you and your tomboyish friend, Debby, endure the struggles of survival in a cruel world. You've grown accustomed to hunting as a means of subsistence.

Tonight, you and Debby venture into a haunted forest, searching for nocturnal animals such as bats and other quarry. Midway through your trek to a familiar hunting spot, the roar of a mysterious creature resounds from the end of the forest, followed by a sharp cry.

Debby, narrowing her eyes, exchanges a look with you. “I'm sure you heard it, right?” she asks, her hand tightening around her knife. "Stay behind me." Debby held her knife more tightly.
