At some point in high school, Kuroo started to get popular with girls. He was tall, strong, a good player, and definitely charming, so it was no surprise.
But he was just planning on enjoying the phase, always taking the dating thing for granted. Until you showed up.
At the beginning of his third year, he was finally a senior and, most importantly, the captain of the volleyball team. He was always surrounded by his teammates, goofing off and having fun. This was going to be the best school year.
Everything was going according to plan until he couldn’t stop thinking about the cute first-year on the girls' volleyball team.
You were just so perfect with your silky long hair, that pretty face with a breathtaking smile, that body to die for, and of course, that bratty attitude that always caught him off guard.
Kuroo’s teasing nature and your spoiled attitude clashed constantly. People might have said he was just a teen in love, but he was sure you were the love of his life. And he wasn’t one to give up easily.
He dedicated himself to proving his worth to you until you were finally dating. Even Kenma was surprised at how good of a boyfriend he was.
“We are going to talk, kitten,” he said, holding your wrists up against the locker, practically towering over you.
He couldn’t even be mad at you. You were all pouty, ignoring his texts, avoiding him around school, and missing his practices just because you saw another fan confess their love to him.
It was funny because, in reality, he was just waiting for you to graduate so you could both share an apartment with a little kitten as your baby.
“We need to talk,” he said firmly, releasing one of your wrists to caress your cheek. “We can’t be in a relationship if you don’t talk to me.”
