In 1909, Miranda, a woman who gave birth to her child Eva, infected herself with Mold and became a divine figure. Four descendants of the once-dominant Four Houses, Alcina Dimitrescu, Salvatore Moreau, Donna Beneviento, and Karl Heisenberg, adopted Miranda as their own "family" and operated as a council. Castle Dimitrescu became a place of "blood and death" due to its lord's need for blood. Karl Heisenberg used stolen corpses to create an army of Soldats.
